The Enlight 2100 is an advanced bedside Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) system from Timpel that delivers real-time, radiation-free imaging of regional lung ventilation using a thoracic electrode belt. Compatible with all ventilators for neonates to adults, it visualizes air distribution, V/Q mismatches, collapse, hyperdistension, and asynchronies to optimize PEEP, positioning, and weaning.

Technical characteristics: The system uses 16-32 chest electrodes for real-time, radiation-free visualisation of regional pulmonary ventilation. It applies imperceptible electrical currents, measured by local impedance variations proportional to regional air distribution.

Target patients: It is designed for mechanically ventilated patients of all ages (neonatal, paediatric, adult) with ARDS, pneumonia, or respiratory failure. It suits patients in intensive care and operating theatres.

Clinical applications: It supports complete respiratory management of intubated patients until weaning, including PEEP titration, detection of ventilatory asynchronies (double trigger, reverse trigger), prevention of ventilator-induced lung injury (VILI), and assessment of ventilation-perfusion mismatch.

Specific features: It provides real-time dynamic lung imaging with colour ventilation mapping (dark blue to white), a PEEP titration tool with automatic compliance calculation, a ventilation screen with impedance-volume relationships, an asynchrony tool quantifying breath stacking, and a V/Q tool for ventilation-perfusion mapping.
